This is the first of a four-part abridged Conversation With A Covenant Emissary. The central theme focuses on whether or not humans are an experimental life-form. Any Assumptions made about the origin of The Covenant Emissary are neither alleged nor implied, confirmed nor denied.
W: Before we continue, I need to know one thing. Is this an experiment?
E: Is what an experiment, our conversation?
W: No, this planet. The entire human experience on this world I perceive.
You've said or implied more than once that my world is just an experiment.
E: Let us consider that it is an experiment. If it is, is it not a failed experiment? Can
we agree that all failed experiment should be terminated?
W: I believe that humans have long term value and, as a species, we are making progress.
E: Where is the progress? Earth has a death wish. Not the planet, but humans, the self-proclaimed pride of the planet and the self-proclaimed masters of Earth if not the universe. Can we agree that this madness needs to stop?
W: I know that the evidence sometimes points in another direction...
E: It absolutely does. Human's insatiable appetite for the feelings you call happiness propagate behaviors plagued with sins against Creation, Earth, and humanity. Yours is a species that has engaged in the torture of animals, men, women, and children for the vile entertainment of the ruling class. The human species kill for sport, inflicts pain for pleasure, and commits genocide for control of Earth's resources.
Yours is a species that countless times have invaded a people, occupied their land, raped mothers, wives, and daughters and slaughtered men, women, and children. You call the invaded savages when they violently resisted aggressive tyranny. You called them heathens when, having a religion of their own, they rejected the religion of the occupying armies.
In nations around the planet, men rape and murder poor women for politics and pleasure without fear of reprisal from the state. In fact, the rape and murder of women are often carried out openly by the state. Your secular and religious leaders too many times extol the virtues of honor and morality while behaving in most immoral and dishonorable ways. I call that a failed experiment. what do you call it? Answer me human! Is your species worth saving?
W: That would be an easier question to answer if I were God.
E: If you were God?
W: If I were God, I would not have allowed human affairs to progress or regress to the conditions you describe. Murderers, warmongers, rapists, and every despot who abuses power and authority that violates a moral code of civility, justice, freedom, the sanctity of sentient human life, and the sanctity of human dignity would not be permitted to thrive and exist on Earth. If I were God, I would make those bastards extinct!
E: What kind of an experiment would that be? You believe Creation should destroy all the bad until on good remains? How does Creation learn about the worth of things created if the experiment is not allowed to run its course?
W: There is a lot about God's Creation that I don't understand. At the top of a very long list is the fact that too many living things only have the ability to kill and devour or simply feed on another living thing in order to survive. The food chain is an apparent reality. I sometimes why an all powerful, all knowing creator did not create life so that all living things receive nourishment from plants, air, soil, and water. In a world without a food chain, a perpetual cycle of killing and consumption would be unnecessary.
E: Perhaps that was the best Creation could do at the time. Perhaps it is time for a new design for all carbbon-based life forms. Perhaps it is time for no carbon-based life forms at all.
W: Isn't the human life-form special to God? If we leave our concept of angels out of the mix, is the human life-form God's best work to date?
E: Creation is responsible for all kinds of life-forms. The human life-form is but one of many. Is it the best? What do you think? Will you allow that, when appraised against moral, physical, and psychological parameters, the human life-form is a defective form? On one of your own factory assembly, the human life-form model, in the hands of an honest manufacturer, would be discontinued and replaced with another model as soon as one was available.
W: But, by your own admission, it it is an experiment, the experiment should be allowed to run to its logical conclusion.
E: You are right. I said that. But how long do you think it will take? All that happens in the Cosmos human perceive is not just about you. Only your shallow, egotistical arrogance make you think so. You have no real knowledge about Creation's relationship to any other species neither on Earth nor in the rest of Creation.
