An intimate relationship with God is not free; it is a gift that must be earned. Protestations from some circles of faith notwithstanding, our failure to understand this ancient truth will yield nothing except continued estrangement from God and its grim companions, the Pain Of Mortal Being and the Fear Of Eternal Being. We cannot secure and maintain an intimate relationship with God by doing nothing. We must do something. So, what must we do?
The impressions we receive are not ambiguous. We must avoid behaviors that repudiate God and distance us from God. Guided by a morality that pleases God, we have no need to search for God in order to find God. Rather, we embrace God's willingness to be with us. God is not lost and God knows where we are. When we struggle with the need to search for god it is because we are estranged from God and feel emptied and punished by Creation's absence.
Creation is absent from us when the morality exemplified by our offensive thoughts and actions repudiate Creation's presence.
We cannot have an intimate relationship with Creation when our habitual thoughts and actions do not attract God to us. Creation does not expect us to be perfect. But, if we want redemption from the pain, anger, and fears that plague the human survival psyche, we must not be guilty of chronic spiritual and behavioral discord that disavow the Creation need for our mortal existence.
Creation will not reside in a persona whose spiritual and behavioral morality is antithetical to the reason for our mortal existence. We cannot have an intimate relationship with God without being in the generous presence of God. We cannot be in the generous presence of God long enough to build spiritual intimacy if the manifestations of our spiritual and behavioral morality alienate us from God.
The Happiness Moralities are our guide to the behavioral and spiritual morality that defines a new people who attract Creation, accepts Creation's gifts, and have power over, pain, anger, and fear--the corrupting demons of the human survival psyche.
Any of us who desire to live the life of Creation's New People and harvest Creation's gifts can have it. We can know the gift of happiness without the Pain Of Mortal Being and the Fear Of Eternal Being. We can purge our survival psyche of the fears and anger that triggers behaviors that estrange us from Creation. We can have an intimate relationship with God that others can only dream about or deny its possibility.
You can have an intimate relationship with Creation and be free from the pain, anger, and fear that haunts the human survival psyche without giving up the drive for self-preservation. You can have it if you live by a holistic morality that affirms your responsibilities to Creation, the Living Planet Earth, yourself, and the rest of God's human creations. You can have it if you live a life guided by the Happiness Moralities.
